Montassar Tabben’s journey began as an elite athlete at the world champion level, where he honed the discipline and skills that would later define his career. After transitioning from athlete to coach, he guided
other elite athletes to success at an Olympic level. His passion for sports science led him to pursue a PhD, where he expanded his expertise by leading groundbreaking research projects with global impact.
Throughout his career, Montassar has continually developed his leadership abilities, successfully managing multicultural, diverse teams in both project-based and organizational settings. Globally recognised for pioneering injury prevention strategies to enhance performance in football. Collaborated and advised organizations such as FIFA and AFC. Currently working at Aspetar Hospital, leading the Qatar Stars League and Asian Football Confederation injury and illness surveillance programs and serving on the Qatar Olympic Medical and Scientific Committee.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology (2014), University of Rouen, France.
• Qualified as lecturer by the French National University Council (2015), France
